I love the way Jamie Oliver presents this information about Pink Slime. He does a great job! I had to share! I would urge you to check out his website.

Jamie Oliver is one of my real food heroes! I was so happy to see him do this on his show, and I’m sure it was instrumental in the recent consumer rejection of pink slime. You’ve reminded me that I need to replace the Food Revolution badge I had on my blog before I moved it to WordPress.

I love Jamie’s passion for this topic. I just recently ran for the elementary school PTO board secretary position, and was elected this week. One of my loftier goals for next year (or over the next few years) is to get a farm-to-school lunch program instituted. This is the stuff most people won’t seek out on their own, but are intensely interested in once it’s exposed. Thanks for posting!

Gag. Glad I grind my own (100% premium beef) at home when I need it.
I knew about pink slime, however, I did not know about the ammonia!
