Real Food Chili in the Crock Pot

Real Food Chili in the Crock pot

1 lb ground beef or venison

1 Quart (32 oz) Tomato Sauce

1 Pint (16 oz) Tomato Sauce

1 Quart (32 oz) diced tomatoes

1 large onion, diced

1 green bell pepper, diced

3 Tbsp homemade taco seasoning mix

4 cups soaked, cooked beans (black, pinto or kidney)

1/4 tsp cayenne pepper

1/4 cup natural sugar of choice

2 tsp oregano

1 tsp fresh black pepper

2 tsp sea salt

3 tsp cumin

up to 1/4 cup of Chili Powder, depending on how hot you like it. I use 2 Tbsp.

Saute meat, onion and pepper. Add taco seasoning and simmer to meld flavors. Add meat mixture and all remaining ingredients to crock pot and cook on low 6-8 hours (or in a stock pot on stove 1-2 hours)

Eat with hot, fresh cornbread
